The draft of the FIAS calendar for 2022 has been published
The draft calendar of international SAMBO competitions for 2022 is published on the FIAS website. This project was approved at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International SAMBO Federation, which took place on September 29.
In 2022, a number of innovations were introduced into the sports calendar of the International SAMBO Federation, among them:
- inclusion of the discipline "Combat SAMBO" in the program of the World Youth and Junior Championships;
- inclusion of the discipline "Sports SAMBO among women" in the program of the World Master’s Championships;
- holding World Cups on four continents;
- holding the World Super Cup;
- holding open continental cups;
- holding on an annual basis the World Cadet’s Championships.
The meeting participants also supported the proposal to hold the first ever International SAMBO Tournament for the Blind and Visually Impaired as part of the World Super Cup "Memorial to the SAMBO Founders" in 2022.
