Totally about 70 SAMBO athletes represented the Tajik national team, and this is one of the highest indicatives among all the teams.

- You are one of the most experienced members of the Asian Championship. And how long do you practice?

- The first time I came to the section in 1986 and have been engaged in sports since then. First I performed as an athlete, and then began training girls, continuing own performances. Now I am Chief National Coach of the Tajik national team.

- How many awards are in your collection?

- Last year at age of 40, I became the champion of Asia. In general, I became a medalist of the Asian Championship ten times, and got on the victory podium of the World SAMBO Championships four times. Besides, I perform in judo, where I also have some achievements.

- Who else in your family is interested in sports?

- My husband Sherhad Alimov works as my personal coach for many years. He is also Chief Scorer of the Tajik SAMBO Federation and Chief National Coach in judo. We have two sons. The eldest son is also a SAMBO athlete, he has been a medalist of the Asian Championship last year. He was going to perform in Tashkent this summer, but didn’t manage – went to serve in the army.

- What are your sports plans for this year? What tournaments do you plan to participate in?

- The World Championship will be held in the Japanese city of Narita in November. I plan to take part in these competitions, as well as to perform at the Asian Beach Games in Thailand, which SAMBO is included in for the first time. It is interesting to try to fight in the new format.
