Fedor Emelianenko at Judo World Championship in Chelyabinsk

Sambo legend Fedor Emelianenko has arrived to Chelyabinsk, Russia, to watch the World Judo Championship, a sport belonging to the same family as sambo.

“Chelyabinsk is a wonderful city and the championship is organized at the highest level. It can be felt by the atmosphere in the arena: How the audience is excited and how it cheers on the athletes. And the setting is quite good, they ensured everything for people to watch judo, cheer and enjoy combats. I have spoken with foreign specialists and they are very pleased with tournament organization. I feel very proud for Russia and that we are able to organize contests at such a high level,” said Fedor Emelianenko in an interview to R-Sport Agency.
