Specificity of training for blind sambists from Roman Khalikov

Honored coach of Russia, master of sports of international class in SAMBO Roman Khalikov has been working with blind and visually impaired athletes for 13 years. Within the framework of the project “Overcoming” - International Development of SAMBO for the Blind, he recorded a training session on video and spoke about the specifics of training for blind SAMBO athletes.

The video is intended for athletes and coaches planning to start training the blind in SAMBO techniques. Roman Khalikov with his student Viktor Rudenko, a representative of the Khabarovsk Regional Sports and Adaptive School (international master of sports in blind sports, 2019 Russian SAMBO for the Blind Champion in the weight category up to 74 kg, multiple silver medalist of the Russian SAMBO for the Blind Championships in the weight category up to 68 kg) demonstrated the peculiarities of training with totally blind sambists.
