“This year, for the first time in history, the Asia and Oceania Championships will be held in Macau. I am very glad that we were once again able to expand the geography of continental competitions. Of course, this tournament will give impetus to the development of our sport in this region.

At the upcoming championship, athletes will be able to compete for medals and earn ranking points. At the same time, for representatives of Combat SAMBO – both men and women – they will be of decisive importance in the selection for the World Games, which will be held in China in 2025,” noted FIAS Vice-President, Head of the SAMBO Union of Asia and Oceania Alamzhon Mullaev.

The current rating of athletes will also affect the draw for the upcoming championship – it will be carried out taking into account the points already scored by athletes during the year at previous rating competitions of the international calendar.

Detailed conditions for the selection of sambists to participate in the World Games 2025 in Chengdu were published on the FIAS website at the beginning of the year: HERE.
