World Masters Sambo Championships will be held in Kazakhstan

The World Sambo Championship among masters will be held in the Kazakh city of Uralsk (Oral) from 8 to 10 September. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the International SAMBO Federation.
Athletes aged 35 years and older will be able to take part in the tournament. Competitions will be held in 7 age categories: 35-39, 40-44 and 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-65, +65 years old. It is expected that in each of the ages medals will be played in 7 weight categories: 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, +98 kg.
The previous World Masters SAMBO Championships under the auspices of FIAS was held in October 2019 in Cyprus. For several years, the tournament was not held due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, which is most dangerous for aged people.
