International Sambo Tournament Held in Lüneburg
The International SAMBO Tournament for young athletes of various ages was held on June 10 in Germany. The competition, which was held for the 19th time in the city of Lüneburg, was attended by sambists from 7 countries.
Athletes from the Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine and Uzbekistan fought for the medals of the tournament. The most numerous was the German national team, which included representatives of 18 clubs. According to the organizing committee, the total number of participants in the competition was 204 people.
“The competitions were held at a high level. The participants expressed their special gratitude to the organizer and ideological inspirer of this tournament, Oleg Derkach, not only for the well-organized tournament, but also for the delicious Uzbek pilaf, cooked with his own hands,” said Andrey Herzen, one of the coaches at the tournament.
