The historic event will take place in early May in the Bolivian city of Cochabamba. From May 4 to 6, it will be the venue for the first ever Pan American Cadets, Youth and Junior SAMBO Championships. The tournament will be attended by 3 age categories of athletes: cadets (U-16), youth (U-18), as well as juniors (U-20). Spectators will be able to watch bouts in Sport SAMBO, Combat SAMBO and Beach SAMBO.

The venue for the championship will be the La Tamborrada Coliseum arena, which is part of the large sports complex Villa Sudamericana, built in 2018 to host the South American Games. Competitions among cadets will be held in 9 weight categories, for youth – in 8 weight categories, for juniors – in 7 weight categories in both Sport SAMBO and Combat SAMBO, and Beach SAMBO competitions will be held among juniors in 4 weight categories.

On the eve of the tournament, the Pan American Sambo Union (UPASA) will hold a referee seminar in Bolivia, and after the end of the competition, athletes will be able to stay in Cochabamba to take part in a training camp.

Detailed conditions for participation in the first ever Pan American Cadets, Youth and Junior SAMBO Championships are published in the competition regulations on the event page in the calendar of the FIAS website.
