“Let's Keep the SAMBO History Together”: Photos from the Participants of the FIAS Initiative. Part 3

On April 22, the International Sambo Federation announced the global initiative “Let's Keep the SAMBO History Together!” FIAS encourages everyone who has historical photographs and videos to send them to collect the archive, which will form the basis for the Museum of SAMBO to be founded at the International SAMBO Center in Moscow. The names of all the personalities featured in the granted materials as well as the names of their authors will enter the SAMBO chronicle forever. You can upload your photos and videos on a special FIAS website page: DOWNLOAD

The USSR national SAMBO team right before the World SAMBO Cup 1988, which was held in Tokyo, Japan. It was a great time, the team lived in the Hotel “Sport” and trained at the Sambo-70 school. Each individual person on this photo is a magnitude, a personality, and each of them made his own (significant) contribution to SAMBO development. It is a pity that some of them is no longer with us. But we will always remember...
