Romania hosted the International Sambo Carphatian Trophy Cup 2022
More than 80 athletes took part in the International SAMBO Carpathian Trophy Cup 2022, which took place on December 12 in Romania. Medals were contested in 19 weight categories – in Sport SAMBO among men and women, as well as in Combat SAMBO among men. Representatives of 5 countries fought for the title in the tournament: Bulgaria, Israel, Macedonia, Romania and Ukraine.
The first place in the team event was taken by the national team of Ukraine, which became the winner in every discipline. In the competition among women in Sport SAMBO, the second place was taken by the representatives of Romania, the third – by the athletes of Israel. In the Sport SAMBO tournament among men, the Ukrainians were followed by the Bulgarian team, the Israeli athletes brought the “bronze” to their country. In Combat SAMBO, the team “silver” remained in Romania, while the “bronze” went to Macedonia.
