World Cup Stage in Uralsk for the Prizes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan came to an end
Overcrowded tribunes of the Ice Arena, great support of the viewers and tense fights on the mats – starting tournament of the FIAS international calendar set the pace of the new season. Sportsmen and sportswomen from 15 countries broke into the fight for medals and organizers motivated this fight financially having promised quite a good prize. SAMBO wrestlers from Russia and Kazakhstan have won the largest number of medals and have managed to reach the victory podium the largest number of times. These teams had the main fight for the first place in the team ranking.
According to the results of the first tournament day, teams from Russia and Kazakhstan had equal number of gold medals – 5 medals each. The winner was to be determined during the second day. Russian team managed to succeed mostly in Men and Women Sport SAMBO. But sportsmen and sportswomen from Kazakhstan had no match in Combat SAMBO. As a result, according to the total number of gold medals (6:4 during the second day and 11:9 according to the results of the whole tournament) by a slender majority the Russian team ranked first.
