The Soyuz MS-17 spacecraft with the crew of a long-term expedition left for the International Space Station exactly in time: the launch took place at 8:45 Moscow time from the Baikonur cosmodrome. The Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle had the SAMBO symbols: the SAMBO inscription and the logo of the All-Russian SAMBO Federation.

“The idea of this project was born very easily. We are the first everywhere. And we decided, why not to be the first in Space. Our idea was supported by the head of Roskosmos, co-chairman of the Board of Trustees of the All-Russian SAMBO Federation Dmitry Rogozin. This is how, through joint efforts, we were able to implement this colossal idea - to launch the SAMBO launch vehicle into Space,” Sergei Eliseev, the President of the All-Russian SAMBO Federation, said.
