Bolivian servicemen got acquainted with SAMBO

The Bolivian SAMBO Federation, with the direct participation of the La Paz SAMBO Association, signed an agreement with representatives of the Bolivian Air Force on the development and dissemination of SAMBO among military personnel. During the event, local sambists held a master class for people in uniform, demonstrating the beauty and effectiveness of the martial art.

“At the master class, the servicemen not only saw the SAMBO technique, but also tried to master some of the techniques themselves. As a result, more than 30 participants of the event expressed their desire to practice SAMBO on a permanent basis. We plan to organize a section for them, where we will focus on the applied elements of the martial art that can be useful in the performance of military duty,” said Cesar Castro, President of the Bolivian SAMBO Federation.

He also said that Bolivia is now actively preparing for the first ever Pan American Cadets, Youth and Junior SAMBO Championships, which will be held in May. According to him, the main goal of the federation for the near future is to hold a tournament at a high level and a worthy performance of Bolivian sambists.
