Fedor Emelianenko in the #WhiteCard promotion

Sambo ambassador Fedor Emelianenko took part in the #WhiteCard promotion. This promotion is conducted by Peace and Sport organization and devoted to the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. We remind that in 2011 Fedor Emelianenko was admitted to the prestigious Peace and Sport club “Champions for Peace”.

On August 23, 2013 the UN General Assembly made a unanimous decision to celebrate 6 April as the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. This is an opportunity to celebrate the sports ability to ensure the achievement of development goals set forth in the UN Millennium Declaration. Sport contributes to strengthening peace and development and creates an atmosphere of tolerance and mutual understanding.
