Igor Ryazantsev: Combat sports with participation of disabled persons is an exam in thinking for an ordinary athlete

Editor in Chief of Fighter TV channel, Igor Ryazantsev, in his interview with Roman Novikov told about the reasons of helping in coverage of sambo tournaments among disabled athletes, what the social face of sambo is and why famous athletes shall visit sambo competitions among disabled athletes.

“It is necessary to help these people, but when you consider that it is connected with the world of combat sport, there is a personal interest as well, because I go myself in for combat sports. From the objective view, the sambo for disabled athletes is pure form of social face of sambo and, probably, in a varying degree, is social face of the whole world of combat sport,” said the companion.

“When possible our famous athletes shall visit these tournaments and support children with disability. As far as I know the guys are very motivated this way. They can watch and listen to the famous wresters only on TV or read on the Internet, and it is clear that it is not possible to come to their performances. There is a chance to take photos and autographs at these tournaments,” said the Editor in Chief of Fighter TV channel.

“I probably say banality, but a common sport with participation of disabled persons is the creation, examination of discipline for us, healthy athletes. After all, if you take a different philosophy of common sports, there is a common thread in ability to create, and only then the ability to execute certain techniques or strokes.
