Sambist Carried a Torch with Fire of the 30th Southeast Asian Games
Filipino sambist Sydney Sy took part in the fire relay race of the 30th Southeast Asian Games, also known as the Sea Games. On October 30 in Davao the athlete was given the unique honor of lighting and carrying the torch with the fire of the Games.
Sydney is the winner of the 2019 Asian SAMBO Championships, the winner of the 2019 World Youth and Junior Championships, 2019 World Cup and 2018 World Championships.
The 30th Southeast Asian Games will be held from November 30 to December 11 in Manila. The competition program will host a SAMBO tournament.
