Victor Coga’s precious gift to Yokosuka city

Victor Coga, who is one of the first Japanese sambo wrestlers and masterminds of sambo development in Japan, granted all his cups, medals and other rich rewards as a gift to Yokosuka city. The mayor of Yokosuka Yuto Yoshida accepted the gift on behalf of the city during the solemn ceremony on March 15.
Victor Coga’s daughter Miss Hitomi as well as his trainees – the member of FIAS executive committee, the Vice-President of Japanese Sambo Federation Nobuyuki Asai and the Vice-President of Japanese Sambo Federation Tadatomi Ida also attended this event.
Nobuyuki Asai read out the FIAS President Vasilii Shestakov’s letter of congratulation addressed to Victor Coga and Yokosuka’s residents and handed it over to the mayor of the city.
Victor Coga`s trophies will be exhibited in the sports complex of the city - Yokosuka Arena.
