Indonesia SAMBO Championship was held in Jakarta

Indonesia National SAMBO Championship was held in Jakarta. The event took place in Bulungan Sports Complex on December 9-11. Approximately 300 sambists from 20 provinces participated in the championship.

More than 20 national referees from Indonesia were also in attendance. The national referee seminar was led by International FIAS referees Martin Tandionugrohon and Maria Stella Rosario Sjahlim.

This National Championship was the final event of the year, following Provincial Championships in several provinces and two National Championship Series.

– All of these successful championships are great indicators that the development of SAMBO in Indonesia is on the right track, – Muhamad Riyad, the Deputy Secretary General of the Indonesia SAMBO Federation, stated.

He also mentioned that the federation is planning to hold the Indonesia SAMBO Open in 2023, allowing athletes from around the world to participate.
