Korean National SAMBO Championship Held in Cheon-an
The Korean national SAMBO championship took place on March 22 in Cheon-an, South Korea. One hundred and twenty athletes competed at the Korean SAMBO Center in Sport SAMBO and Combat SAMBO across a range of age categories, from cadets to adults.

Alongside the battle for national championship medals, the tournament served as the official selection process for the Korean national team ahead of this season's international competitions.

Korea Sambo Federation President Mun Seongcheon highlighted the importance of a systematic approach to developing young athletes.

“We must consistently work on preparing the next generations of sambists and ensuring continuity – this is especially important given the collective efforts of the global SAMBO community to have the sport included in the Olympic Games,” he said.
