Fighting Films Becomes Newly Certified FIAS SAMBO Uniform Supplier

The International SAMBO Federation (FIAS) has certified a new supplier of SAMBO uniforms. Fighting Films, a renowned manufacturer of martial arts equipment based in the United Kingdom, has been granted FIAS certification and officially recognized as a supplier.

Founded in 1988 by a group of filmmakers and judo practitioners led by Simon Hicks, Fighting Films initially focused on producing judo content before evolving into equipment manufacturing. With over 35 years of experience, the company has become known for creating high-quality martial arts uniforms that embody English quality and comfort. Most members and partners of Fighting Films hold black belts in judo, enabling them to fully understand athlete needs and produce equipment of the highest quality.

In 2018, Fighting Films expanded into SAMBO equipment production, applying time-tested standards developed through decades of judo uniform manufacturing. Working closely with professional SAMBO athletes and FIAS experts, the company created specialized equipment tailored to SAMBO practitioners' needs. In 2025, Fighting Films and FIAS signed an agreement granting the company a license to produce SAMBO uniforms.

"We are honored to contribute to improving the SAMBO uniform and invite all SAMBO enthusiasts and masters to join the international Fighting Films family," said representatives of Fighting Films. "Our three decades of experience in martial arts equipment manufacturing, combined with our team's practical understanding as black belt practitioners, allows us to create uniforms that truly meet the demands of competitive SAMBO athletes."
