Photo exhibition “Sambo in Russia and Worldwide” will be held in the Russian State Duma

The State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sport and Youth Affairs and the International Sambo Federation jointly invite guests and media representatives to the opening of the exhibition “Sambo in Russia and Worldwide”.

The exhibition will open on October 14, 2014 at 14:30 in the State Duma (in the passage between the buildings of the State Duma).

The honoured guests of the event will include the President of the Russian Olympic Committee, a member of the International Olympic Committee Aleksandr Zhukov, Minister of Sport of Russia Vitaliy Mutko, Deputy Minister of Sport of Russia Pavel Kolobkov, deputy of the State Duma, President of the International Sambo Federation Vasiliy Shestakov, deputy of the State Duma, three-time Olympic champion Aleksandr Karelin, four-time world sambo champion Fyodor Emelyanenko, and others.

Photo and video materials, exhibits that tell about the history of sambo, promotion and development of this kind of sport, and about the achievements of legendary sambo athletes of Russia and the world will be shown at the exhibition “Sambo in Russia and Worldwide” to the visitors.
