Cameroonian Sambist Seidou Njimouluh Nominated for the IWGA The World Games Athlete of the Year Award
Two-time World Combat SAMBO Champion Seidou Njimouluh from Cameroon has been nominated for The World Games Athlete of the Year Award 2024 Award. The candidates selected by the IWGA (International World Games Association) include representatives of the international sports federations that will take part in the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China.
The winner and recipient of the award will be determined by the number of votes cast for each athlete on the IWGA website. This means that SAMBO athletes from all over the world have the opportunity to help a representative of our sport make a bright statement to the world!
The voting period will open at 12:00 GMT on 9 January 2025. Starting from 22 January 2025 at 12:00 GMT, only the 10 highest-ranked candidates at that time will continue in the competition, with all vote counts reset to zero. Voting will close on 31 January 2025 at 12:00 GMT.

Votes may be cast via The World Games website, with a limit of one voting session per 24 hours. Each voting session must include votes for two candidates: 2 votes for your first-choice candidate and 1 vote for your second choice. Please note that votes cast for only one candidate will not be counted.
Throughout the campaign, the vote tallies for each candidate will be displayed in real time.
All voters shall act in accordance with fair play in sport. The IWGA will monitor the voting process rigorously, and any irregularities will be investigated. Actions contrary to the spirit of sport may result in appropriate consequences.
