China, Heilongjiang Province, city of Suifenhe. It is a geographical part of the world where FIAS Sporting Director Dmitry Maximov has recently appeared during his working visit. Our today's reportage is about his movements and actions in China. This was thanks to Dmitry Maximov’s love to Sambo.

Visit of the local Sambo Federation is paramount, important and mandatory upon arrival. The visit was scheduled to meet with the management of the Federation and visit the Sambo hall recently opened by the Federation in Suifenhe.

Since President of Sambo Federation of the city of Suifenhe Mr. Yuan To Tyun was on a business trip on that day, vice-president of the Federation Mr. Yu Joe Chen accepted thanks and congratulations on behalf of the International Sambo Federation. 

Mr. Maximov discussed perspectives and peculiarities of the development of Sambo in China with the head coach of the local Sambo club Alexander Gorshkov (USSR Sambo Master of Sports).

FIAS Sporting Director also managed to watch the trainings of young Chinese Sambo athletes. There is good news – Sambo is supported by the chief of the police of the city of Suifenhe. Enchanted by the appliance and efficiency of "self-defense without weapons" as a system of professional training of his department, the chief of the police ensured participation of 10 employees from the local police station in training.

Dmitry Maximov met with Mayor of the city of Suifenhe Mr. Liu De Sheng. On behalf of FIAS President Vasiliy Shestakov Mr. Maximov officially thanked the Head of the city for his support and real assistance in the development of Sambo in China.
