World SAMBO Cup "A. Kharlampiev Memorial" will be held in Moscow

The World SAMBO Cup "A. Kharlampiev Memorial" will be held on March 25-26, 2021 in Moscow.

The general partner of the tournament is Rosneft oil company.

The competition will be organized by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Department of Sports and Tourism of Moscow, the International SAMBO Federation (FIAS), as well as the All-Russian SAMBO Federation and the Moscow SAMBO Federation.

Competitions of athletes will be held in three disciplines: for men, women and in Combat SAMBO. The fights will be held in the presence of spectators - with a 50% occupancy of the hall. This decision was made by the organizers in connection with the difficult epidemiological situation in the country and in accordance with the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor.

Everyone will be able to watch exciting competitions live on the FIAS website, in the Federation's social networks and on the Match Boyets TV channel.

About 300 participants from 16 countries are announced for the competition: Armenia, Bahrain, Belarus, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

Within two days, 21 sets of medals will be played in the following weight categories:

58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, +98 kg (men);

50 kg, 59 kg, 54 kg, 65 kg, 72 kg, 80 kg, +80 kg (women);

58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, +98 kg (Combat SAMBO).

The venue for the competition will traditionally be the Small Sports Arena of the Luzhniki Stadium (24 Luzhnetskaya emb., 3).

The World Cup will be organized in compliance with the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor, as well as taking into account the provisions of the Regulations on the organization and conduct of official physical culture events and sporting events in the Russian Federation while the risks of the spread of COVID-19 remain, approved by the Ministry of Sports of Russia and Rospotrebnadzor on July 31, 2020.
