FIAS international seminar for referees and coaches will be held in Kyrgyzstan

The FIAS international seminar will be held in the city of Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan) on the eve of the World SAMBO Cup. A joint event for referees and coaches will take place on August 12-14 at the Issyk-Kul Aurora sanatorium. The seminar regulations are published in the calendar of the official FIAS website.

“Often, referees and coaches may have different views on the same situation during a bout on the mat. Sometimes this leads to misunderstandings between parties during competitions. So that referees and coaches speak the same language, we decided to hold joint seminars. This will allow them to discuss various controversial situations together in a calm atmosphere, so that during competitions they have a full understanding of how certain actions of athletes on the mat should be assessed,” said Sergey Tabakov, executive director of the International SAMBO Federation.

The seminar in Kyrgyzstan will be held in Russian and English. Referees and coaches included in the application of the National SAMBO Federation are invited to participate in the event. Each participant must register in the FIAS database on the event page. Without an electronic application in the FIAS database, the participant will not be admitted to the seminar.

Referees who successfully pass the theoretical and practical exams will be awarded the qualifications of the corresponding judicial category.

Coaches who successfully pass the exam will be awarded the qualification of the corresponding coaching degree.

Referees and coaches who do not pass the exam will be awarded certificates of participation.
