Morocco's National Youth SAMBO Championship Held in Casablanca

The Royal Moroccan Federation of Sambo and Tai Jitsu has hosted the National Youth SAMBO Championship at the Ain Chok Sports Complex in Casablanca. The event brought together more than 300 young athletes representing clubs from all regions of Morocco.

“The technical skill and sportsmanship of the competitors was of a very high standard. The athletes demonstrated competitive maturity and a strong drive for results, all while upholding the principles of fair play. For many of them, competing in the National Youth Championship is the first step on the road to continental and international events,” the national federation said in a statement.

The arbitration panel was led by the head of the Arbitration Commission, Ali Ouel Djemel, and included Khalid Ait Rabai, Abdelhak El Moustaid Billah, Mohamed Imadou Eddine, Younes Sif, Mohamed Bouimcha, Omar Jamai, Said Abbassi, and Nadia Karim. Secretariat duties were handled by Adil Loumame, Khadija El Moustaid Billah, and Mohamed Zouini.

The championship concluded with an awards ceremony at which the top-ranked athletes received medals and certificates. The event was attended by Federation President Dalil Skalli, National Technical Director Mohammed Aberouz, federation members, and invited guests.

“For the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sambo and Tai Jitsu, events of this kind are an essential part of the national development strategy – introducing children to the sport from an early age and strengthening SAMBO's presence at the national level,” the federation noted.
