Venezuelan Youth SAMBO Championships Held in Maracay
The Venezuelan Youth SAMBO Championships were held on September 13-14 in Maracay, the capital and largest city in the state of Aragua. About 190 athletes from different states of the country took part in the competitions in Sport and Combat SAMBO.
The participants competed in the following age groups: 6-8 years old; 9-11 years old; 12-14 years old; 14-16 years old; 17-18 years old; 19-20 years old. The youngest athletes competed for medals only in Sport SAMBO, while the older ones competed in both Sport and Combat SAMBO.
Representatives of 12 sports clubs took part in the championship, each representing a certain state of the country. The winner in the team competition was the club from the state of Aragua, the second place was taken by the club from the state of Barinas, and the third place went to the club from the state of Falcon.
