Lithuanian Cadet, Youth and Junior SAMBO Championship Sets National Team Rosters
Vilnius hosted the Lithuanian Cadet, Youth and Junior SAMBO Championship, drawing 137 athletes from across the country. The tournament's primary outcome was the selection of national team members for upcoming international competitions.
According to the Lithuanian SAMBO Federation, the 2026 edition stood out for a noticeably higher level of technical skill among competitors.

"The young SAMBO athletes showed relentless fighting spirit and fierce competitive drive across every weight category, reinforcing Lithuania's reputation as one of the region's leading SAMBO nations," the federation said in a statement.
Participants represented all corners of the country, with Vilnius, Ukmergė, and Klaipėda fielding the largest contingents.

Based on tournament results, coaches selected the athletes who will represent Lithuania on the international stage. The newly named team members now face an intensive preparation block ahead of the year's two marquee events: the European Youth and Junior SAMBO Championships and the World Cadet, Youth and Junior SAMBO Championships.
