The national tournament “LA COPA LITORAL” was held in Chile

The national SAMBO tournament "LA COPA LITORAL" took place on the Central Coast of Chile in early February. The competition took place in the city of El Tabo, on the territory of the Guayapolis resort.

During one day, the participants managed to compete in Sport, Combat and Beach SAMBO. The tournament began on the SAMBO mats, and after all the Sport and Combat SAMBO matches ended, the athletes moved to the beach.

“The central coast of Chile is located in the Valparaiso region and is one of the most popular destinations in the country, famous for its variety of beaches. Of course, we used natural conditions so that athletes could try themselves in different SAMBO disciplines,” said Nelson Romero, President of the Chilean National Sports Federation of SAMBO and Martial Arts.

He also emphasized that the main goals of the cup are the education and training of competitive athletes and the further development of SAMBO in all regions of the country.
