Regulations of the 2024 World SAMBO Championships have been published

The World Sambo Championships will be held in Astana (Kazakhstan) on November 8-10. Competitions in Sport and Combat SAMBO, as well as in Blind SAMBO, will be held at the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace. All the details of the tournament and participation in it are published in the championship regulations in the FIAS calendar.

The World Championships in Kazakhstan will go down in the history of SAMBO development due to the introduction of new disciplines. For the first time, a tournament of this level will feature women's Combat SAMBO competitions, as well as Blind SAMBO competitions (sport class SVI1 – totally blind). In addition, the World Championships will be the final qualifying tournament for participation in the 2025 World Games in Chengdu.

The competitions at the 2024 World SAMBO Championships will be held in the following weight categories:

Sport SAMBO (men): 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, +98 kg

Sport SAMBO (women): 50 kg, 54 kg, 59 kg, 65 kg, 72 kg, 80 kg, +80 kg

Combat SAMBO (men): 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, +98 kg

Combat SAMBO (women): 50 kg, 54 kg, 59 kg, 65 kg, 72 kg, 80 kg, +80 kg

Blind SAMBO (men, sport class SVI1): 64 kg, 79 kg, 98 kg
