Pan American SAMBO Seminars to Be Held in Ecuador

In June, the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, will host two important Pan American SAMBO seminars organized under the auspices of the International SAMBO Federation (FIAS): the Pan American Coaches Seminar and the Pan American Referees Seminar. Both events aim to enhance the professional competencies of participants and contribute to the development of SAMBO in the region.

Coaches Seminar: June 24-25

The Pan American Coaches Seminar will take place on June 24-25 at the Polideportivo Huancavilca Sports Complex in Guayaquil. The program includes both theoretical and practical sessions, focusing on SAMBO technique classification, special exercises, and techniques in both standing and ground positions.

To take part, coaches must be nominated by their national SAMBO federations and register through the FIAS database. Successful participants will be awarded the 1st-level coaching qualification.

Referees Seminar: June 25-26

Immediately following the coaches seminar, the Pan American Referees Seminar will be held on June 25-26 at the same venue. This program will cover the rules of Sport, Combat, and Beach SAMBO, including both theory and practical sessions. The final exam offers referees the opportunity to earn a FIAS international Category B (Continental referee) certification.

As with the coaching seminar, participation is limited to those nominated by their national federations and registered in the FIAS database.

Common Information

Both seminars will be conducted in Spanish and English. Travel, accommodation, and meals are the responsibility of the participants or their delegating organizations. Visa support will be provided by the Sambo Clubs Association of Ecuador for all applicants registered in the FIAS database.

The Polideportivo Huancavilca Sports Complex in Guayaquil will serve as the venue for both seminars. All relevant application deadlines fall shortly before the events: June 23 for coaches and June 24 for referees.
