Beach SAMBO Training Camp and Large-Scale Training Session Held in Côte d'Ivoire

The Ivorian SAMBO Federation recently hosted two key events: a large-scale training session on September 27, followed by a specialized beach sambo training camp on October 11. Both events are part of the federation's ongoing efforts to develop the sport in the country, with a focus on athlete preparation, talent identification, and expanding the community of sambo practitioners.

Beach SAMBO Training Camp

The camp took place on October 11 at the National Institute of Youth and Sports (INJS). It brought together athletes, coaches, and team specialists. The program was dedicated to refining Beach SAMBO techniques and facilitating knowledge exchange among participants.

“This gathering helped strengthen ties within the national SAMBO community and marked a significant step forward in the development of Beach SAMBO in Côte d'Ivoire,” the federation stated in its official report.

Large-Scale Training Session and Talent Scouting

Earlier, on September 27, the federation organized a mass training session in Abidjan. The event was held at the Aura Gym Riviera Golf sports club and was led by the coaching staff headed by the federation's Technical Director Hamidu Zongo.

Participants worked on refining their techniques and building physical conditioning, while coaches kept a close eye out for emerging talent who could potentially represent the country in future international competitions.

“The training took place in a dynamic and friendly atmosphere. The athletes demonstrated discipline, respect for their partners, mutual support, and dedication – core values upon which SAMBO is built," the national federation reported.

The organization also emphasized its commitment to continuing the development and promotion of SAMBO in Côte d'Ivoire under the federation's official motto: "Discipline. Respect. Solidarity. Results".
