Ceremony honoring African athletes took place in Egypt
The solemn ceremony honoring the best African athletes at the end of 2023 took place at the African Sambo Championships, which took place on June 1-3 in Cairo (Egypt). President of the African Sambo Confederation Dalil Scalli presented diplomas to four sambists who achieved high results at continental and world tournaments.
Diplomas were awarded to:
Seidou NJIMOULUH (Cameroon) – two-time World Champion in Combat SAMBO, multiple African Champion in Combat SAMBO.

Maxwell DJANTOU NANA (Cameroon) – World Champion in Combat SAMBO, multiple African Champion in Combat SAMBO.

Mustapha MOUKNAJ (Morocco) – bronze medalist of the World Sambo Championships, African Champion in Combat SAMBO.

Seif Eddine AHANI (Morocco) – silver medalist of the World Youth and Junior SAMBO Championships, African Sambo champion.
