National SAMBO Championship Held in Bolivia
The Bolivian SAMBO Federation concluded its competitive season with a national championship held on December 6-7 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, the capital of the Santa Cruz department.
The tournament brought together athletes from five departments across the country: La Paz, Cochabamba, Potosí, Beni, and Santa Cruz. Over 100 participants competed in the event, demonstrating the growing popularity of SAMBO in Bolivia.
"Prior to the championship, we organized a refereeing seminar, which attracted more than 30 participants," said the President of the Bolivian SAMBO Federation Cesar Castro. "This educational component is essential for us as we're committed to developing not only athletes but also the officiating capacity necessary for the sport's continued growth in our country."

The Santa Cruz championship served as the final event on the Bolivian SAMBO Federation's calendar for this year.
