“The World SAMBO Cup for the prizes of the President of the Armenian NOC, Gagik Tsarukyan, was a standout event on the international SAMBO calendar. We witnessed not only excellent organization but also a high level of athletic competition. I’m pleased to note the impressive progress shown by athletes from various countries. The performance of the host nation, Armenia, was particularly memorable, with their athletes earning 11 medals of various kinds.
