Bolivian Junior Sambo Championship was held in Cochabamba

The city of Cochabamba became the venue for the Bolivian Junior Sambo Championship. The competition, held on April 13, brought together representatives from five departments of the country and became qualifying for teams for participation in international competitions.
“At this tournament, we set ourselves the goal of analyzing the professional skills of young athletes and their subsequent selection for the Bolivian junior team, which will represent the country at the Pan American Championship,” noted the President of the National Sambo Federation Cesar Castro.
According to the tournament organizing committee, more than 80 athletes from 5 departments of Bolivia took part in the championship: La Paz, Santa Cruz, Potosi, Beni and Cochabamba.
“During the tournament, bouts between adult athletes were also organized. This helped us to pre-qualify for the national team to participate in international competitions,” Castro added.
