Daniela Hondiu Recognized by Romania’s Minister of Sport

Daniela Hondiu, the first Romanian to win the European Sambo Championship and the bronze medalist at the European Games in Baku, was recently named an honorary master of sports. Gabriela Szabo, Romania’s minister of youth and sport, recognized Hondiu for her outstanding achievements in the largest international competitions this year. Other participants in the celebratory ceremony were Carmen Tocala, state secretary of the ministry, and Viorel Gyske, president of the Romanian Sambo Federation and Daniela Hondiu’s personal coach.
