Girl of the day. Daniela Hondiu gets married

Romanian athlete Daniela Hondiu, who became a European Sambo champion in May, marked another joyous event - her wedding. Her husband is Giani Poroineanu, whom Daniela met more than 7 years ago. In an interview with the FIAS website following a photo shoot for our Sambo Style column, the Romanian Sambo wrestler talked about how she met her now husband. Giani is a former professional soccer player who studied at the same sports school as his future wife. He supported Daniela in her victory at the European Championships in Zagreb and was one of the first to congratulate her on the historic win and share her joy of victory.
