Alisher Alimov re-elected as Chairman of the Sambo Association of Uzbekistan

Today, March 16, in the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a regular reporting and selective conference of the Sambo Association of Uzbekistan was held. One of the main issues on the agenda was the election of the leadership of the organization. The delegates unanimously supported the candidacy of Alisher Alimov, who was re-elected Chairman of the Sambo Association of Uzbekistan for another term.

Alisher Rikhsivaevich Alimov has been the head of the organization for the last 4 years. During this time, Uzbek sambists have achieved high results at the international level, including numerous victories at the World and Asian Sambo Championships; and Tashkent has repeatedly become the venue for the Asian and World Championships, which were held at a high level.

Along with the election of the chairman, the delegates also voted for the candidacy of the Secretary General of the Sambo Association of Uzbekistan for the next term. This position was taken by the head coach of the national SAMBO team of the country Roman Shakirov.

The conference was attended by Deputy Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shakhrillo Makhmudov, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee Oybek Kasymov, Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Sherzod Tashmatov, Member of the Executive Committee of the International SAMBO Federation, Head of the FIAS President’s Office Alexander Korsik, President of the SAMBO Union of Asia and Oceania Alamjon Mullaev, member of the executive committee of the SAMBO Union of Asia and Oceania Reza Muhammad Naseri, official representative of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rashid Talipov, representatives of the regional branches of the association, coaches and media representatives.
