The Italian SAMBO Championship was held in Crema

The Italian SAMBO Championship was held in Crema on June 19. The tournament was held during events dedicated to the festival Crema — the European City of Sport 2016. Along with SAMBO, the festival program also included competitions in other sports.

The Mayor of Crema, Dr. Bonaldi, and a representative of the Regional Olympic Committee, Dr. Gerevini, attended the competitions, which shows the importance of this SAMBO tournament. Together with the fans in the stands, viewers of the local TV channel could also watch the twists and turns of the competition, thanks to the efforts of journalists.

As for the actual sports part, 63 athletes from 15 national sports clubs competed in the SAMBO tournament. The final results were as follows:
