Croatian National SAMBO Championship 2026: Selection Tournament for European Squad
On March 21 the Croatian Sambo Federation hosted its annual National Championship – the key qualification event determining the composition of the Croatian national team ahead of the 2026 European SAMBO Championships.

The tournament brought together more than 250 athletes representing clubs from across the country, competing in both Sport SAMBO and Combat SAMBO disciplines.

“The scale of participation and the technical quality demonstrated by competitors reflect the steady development of SAMBO in Croatia,” – ...states the national federation's statement.

The championship carried decisive significance: results on the mat directly determined which athletes will earn the right to represent Croatia at the continental level. Podium finishers in each weight category secured their spots in the national team roster for the upcoming European SAMBO Championships.
