World Championships in Armenia: presentation of the tournament logo and demonstration of SAMBO on the streets of Yerevan

The World Sambo Championships will be held in Yerevan from November 10 to 12. In anticipation of the start of the tournament, the Sambo Federation of Armenia is holding a series of events to promote this major sporting party in its country.

The music was the first to attract the attention of passers-by on the Northern Avenue of Yerevan to the members of the Yerevan Drums group. After this, interested spectators saw demonstration performances by young sambists, took part in master classes, and also tested their knowledge in quiz on the SAMBO topic.

“This is not the first event which we have held in anticipation of the start of the tournament. Our goal is to introduce people the sport of SAMBO and raise awareness among our population about the upcoming World Championships,” the Armenian Sambo Federation said in a statement.

The National Federation also presented the fans with the logo of the upcoming tournament.

“This historic championship, which starts in a few days, will become one of the most memorable in the history of SAMBO and Armenia,” stated representatives of the tournament’s organizing committee.
