Uzbekistan SAMBO Championship for Blind Athletes Held in Tashkent

The Uzbekistan SAMBO Championship for Blind Athletes took place on March 28 in Tashkent. The tournament brought together competitors from all regions of Uzbekistan and served as the primary national selection event for two major international competitions: the World SAMBO Cup, scheduled for April in Armenia, and the World SAMBO Championships, which Uzbekistan will host.

“The bouts were highly competitive and showcased the strong technical level of the participating athletes. Events like this are essential to the growth of SAMBO in our country — they help identify promising talent and reinforce Uzbekistan's standing on the international stage,” the SAMBO Association of Uzbekistan said in a statement.
