Bolivian SAMBO Federation Holds Women's Self-Defense Workshop
The Bolivian SAMBO Federation hosted a hands-on self-defense seminar for women in La Paz, at the State University of El Alto (UPEA). The event took place on March 9 and drew more than 70 participants, who learned fundamental self-protection techniques and practical strategies for staying safe in threatening situations.

The seminar was designed to highlight the applied side of SAMBO – showing how the sport's techniques can become an effective tool for personal safety in everyday life. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, participants put the key defensive skills into practice.

“Holding the event on a university campus allowed us to reach a wide audience of young women and once again made clear that SAMBO is not just a competitive sport – it is a socially important tool that can make a real difference in people's lives,” said Cesar Castro, President of the Bolivian SAMBO Federation.
