Kazakhstan SAMBO Cup was held in Semey

The Kazakhstan SAMBO Cup was held from November 24 to 26 in the city of Semey. About 300 athletes representing 14 teams from different regions of the country took part in the competition. Based on the results of the tournament, winners in 23 weight categories were determined.

Sambists competed for medals in 8 weight categories in Sport SAMBO among men, in 8 categories in Combat SAMBO among men, and in 7 weight categories in Sport SAMBO among women.

According to the results of the tournament, the team of sambists from the Abay region won the first place and got the Challenge Cup. Second place went to the team from the Turkestan region. The top three winners were completed by athletes from the East Kazakhstan region.

As the organizers of the tournament note, in the future the strongest sambists will be included in the national team of the republic, which will defend the honor of the country at international tournaments.
