ITA Clean Sport Education Booth to Feature at the World Beach SAMBO Championships 2026
A clean sport education booth will be set up in Caraguatatuba as part of the World Beach SAMBO Championships 2026. The initiative is being run by the International Testing Agency (ITA), FIAS's partner in anti-doping activities.
The booth will operate on both days of the tournament – 12 and 13 September – on Indaiá Beach, hosted by Dr Thais Cevada, ITA Education Ambassador.
Throughout each day, athletes and spectators will be able to:
- get their clean sport questions answered;
- learn about their rights and responsibilities under anti-doping rules;
- get advice on checking medications, supplements and Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs);
- find out how the doping control process works;
- pick up practical tips for competing clean.
The booth will also feature interactive games with prizes – a format designed to make learning about the topic engaging and accessible for athletes and fans of all ages.
Organizers are encouraging all participants and their teams to stop by the ITA booth and take advantage of the chance to get accurate, first-hand information.
The World Beach SAMBO Championships 2026 will be held in Brazil for the first time in the event's history, taking place on Indaiá Beach in the city of Caraguatatuba, São Paulo state. Medals will be contested in eight individual weight categories: men – 58, 71, 88 kg and over 88 kg; women – 50, 59, 72 kg and over 72 kg. Alongside the individual events, the program also includes a mixed team tournament.
Athletes from 24 countries have entered the Championships, including Brazil, Russia, Spain, Kazakhstan, Mexico, the USA and other nations from across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, as well as a Refugee Team.
