National Beach SAMBO Tournament Was Held in Cameroon
Cameroonian city of Kribi on the Atlantic coast was the venue for the first national beach SAMBO tournament. Sambists from Cameroon, who had previously successfully competed in beach SAMBO competitions in the program of the African Championships in Tunisia, now identified the strongest in the battles between themselves.

As the organizers note, the competitions were held in several weight classes and aroused considerable interest from the local residents. As soon as the competition began the audience began to gather to the place of the battles from all ends of the beach to watch a new kind of sports.

Refereeing of the tournament was provided by local referees, who passed additional training on the peculiarities of beach SAMBO at a seminar under the guidance of referees François Nama and Belmond Alog.
