World Beach SAMBO Championships 2026 Guidebook Published

The World Beach SAMBO Championships 2026 are just days away, taking place on 12-13 September on Indaia Beach in Caraguatatuba, Brazil. To help athletes and fans navigate the tournament program and organizational details, the International SAMBO Federation has prepared an official guidebook, now available in the events calendar on the FIAS website.

Format and Schedule

The competition will run over two days. On 12 September, athletes will compete on the sand for individual titles across eight weight categories. The following day, 13 September, will see a team tournament among mixed national squads.

Saturday, 12 September (local time)

10:00 – Preliminary bouts

Men: 58, 71, 88, +88 kg

Women: 50, 59, 72, +72 kg

13:30 – Opening Ceremony

14:00 – Bronze medal bouts, finals, Awarding Ceremony

Sunday, 13 September

10:00 – Preliminary bouts of the team tournament (Women: 72, +72 kg | Men: 71, 88, +88 kg)

13:00 – Bronze medal bouts, finals, Awarding Ceremony

How to Follow the Championships

Every bout of the Championships will be streamed live on sambo.live. Fans can follow the action on the sand in real time from anywhere in the world, while those travelling to Brazil will be able to watch the World Beach SAMBO Championships live on the shores of Caraguatatuba.
