Regulations of African SAMBO Championships are published

The African SAMBO Championships will be held in the capital of Cameroon, the city of Yaoundé. Competitions in Sports and Combat SAMBO will be held on July 16-17, the Beach SAMBO Championship is scheduled for July 18. The strongest sambists of the continent will take part in the tournament – one representative from the country in each weight category. All details of the tournament are published in the competition regulations on the event page in the calendar of the FIAS website.

Cameroon will host the African SAMBO Championships for the second time. For the first time, the continental championship was held in this country in 2014 and brought a huge success to the host country – the Cameroon team took first place in the team standings. That achievement was an important impetus for the development of SAMBO in the country, and Cameroonian sambists conquered new heights, becoming prize-winners and world champions in SAMBO.

It is too early to guess how successful the upcoming tournament will be, however, the experience gained in organizing championships and victories at the largest international SAMBO competitions will certainly have a positive impact on the preparations for the championship this year. There are 2 months left before the start, and we have the opportunity to see how the first ever African SAMBO Championships 2014 were held in Cameroon.
