Latvian Youth Open SAMBO Championships were held in Riga

Latvian open championships among cadets and juniors were held in Riga on the 10^th of September. Representatives of eight clubs from five Latvian cities, as well as guests from Lithuania, participated in the tournament. 

Following the results of the competition, sambists from Liepāja won the team event among cadets. Inhabitants of Riga won the competitions among juniors. Besides that, this year the Latvian SAMBO Clubs Association awarded local sportsmen with master of sports titles for the results they had demonstrated at the Europe and World Championships for the first time. Prior to the competitions the Latvian SAMBO Clubs Association president Vsevolod Zeleny handed master of sports badges and certificates to the athletes.
